What is the LAB? 

When it comes to anodizing treatment, the most commonly discussed thing is "color", and there are so many colors that it is impossible to clearly define a color; for example, it is often heard that each manufacturer of rose gold sets a different color tone. The main purpose is to To show the uniqueness of your own home, its definition depends on the LAB value.

As shown in the picture above, the colors we see in our eyes are made up of red, green, yellow and blue, and then combined with white and black to show the shades to show colorful tones; in this related industry or academic People can understand it quickly, but people who are not very familiar with it may still be confused. In fact, we can simplify it into the following arrangement to make a clear judgment:

The LAB value is composed of the above three columns of values. The L value represents the difference between white and black. The larger the value, the lighter, the smaller, the darker. The partial value of the A value is (+) and the larger it is, the redder it is, and the smaller the value (-), the greener it is. The value of the B value has the same meaning; we Let's take actual samples to test, so that we can better understand the LAB value.

In the picture above I used three colors (red, orange and yellow) and measured them with a colorimeter. For example: red gets L=73.86, a=-19.20, b=42.63. The result of integrating these three values ​​​​is that the red is lighter (73.86). An a value of -19.2 is greenish, and a b value of 42.63 is yellowish. , in addition to the other two colors, you can clearly see what combination they are based on the table.
